Why join?? Our membership is really good value for money, one price regardless of how many people in the family! Club members benefit from discounts on some club organised events, plus all the social rides with the club are free to members. Sometimes just one family member attending just one single event organised at a discount for club members will save you your annual membership cost! If you would like to come along to one of our monthly club rides before joining, the details for the next ride will be on our CBMDC facebook page. Please let the ride leader know on there that you would like to attend. - The club is registered with British / Welsh Cycling, so joining is managed through the British Cycling website, but you DO NOT need to be a member of British Cycling to join us. - Membership is renewed annually in January. If you join initially after 1st Oct your membership will run through the next full year as well, so potentially up to 15 months.
- The cost currently (2024) is £20 per FAMILY, so all adults and children living at the same address are covered by the single fee.

- This will take you to our club details page (Clwb Beicio Mynydd Dyffryn Conwy – CBMDC) at British Cycling.
- You will see the screen below when you click the tab “join our club”. Ignore the very random age bit (nothing to do with us!!), basically if you want to join, we take families with children just getting going on a balance bike, through to whatever age you are still enjoying getting out on your bike! Just click the red “buy membership” button. Then complete all your details.
- Note that British Cycling (BC) membership IS NOT required to join our club, but at every step of the process BC will try to persuade you that you need to buy their membership as well. Always just ignore it (unless you also require BC membership for a race licence for National races). Local GoMTB races DO NOT require a race licence through BC membership.
- If you are already a member of BC then sign in with that login when joining the club. If you are not, you will create a login when buying CBMDC membership.
- Make sure you keep a record of your login username/ membership number and password for the BC website as you will need that when you come to renew your membership the following year. On their login page there is the usual help button if you can’t remember!
